Roadies Give Back

By Karen Jones

Thank you to the members of IEQG for the support
you have shown to Roadies Give Back (RGB).

Roadies Give Back is a program that donates quilts to the Robert and Beverly Lewis Cancer Treatment Center associated with Pomona Valley Hospital. The quilts are given to each cancer patient who is having treatment. The quilt is for the patient to keep as his or her own. The quilt keeps the patient warm during the treatment and is like a hug from someone who cares.

The pattern used for RGB is X’s and O’s. Please use 5” squares of medium brights. The 5” square is then snow-balled on two opposite corners with a square of Kona black cut 2 ½”. This pattern is a great stash buster. Susan Helliar posted the pattern on the guilds FB page. You may also obtain a pattern from Karen Jones.

There will be a charity sew-in (possibly 5/19) hosted by IEGQ to work on this project and well as the other projects for the Guild’s Charity Program.

Roadies Give Back will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Ontario convention Center in Ontario California. Please sign up for a fun evening of sewing at Road. The class will be listed on the class schedule.
