Charities

We absolutely love our charity sew days! We get to work with oodles of fabric and patterns, but the best part is knowing that the items we create will benefit children in need throughout the Inland Empire.

If you would like to donate fabric or supplies for this cause, please contact the guild here.

Charities we support

Royal Family Kids Camp

Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) is a weeklong summer camp dedicated to providing children in the foster care system with a fun and supportive environment. Many of these children have faced challenging circumstances, including abuse and neglect. The camp offers them a much-needed escape where they can simply be kids and enjoy activities like swimming, hiking, woodworking, and more. To support these children, we partner with various community organizations to provide each camper with a quilt and pillowcase, adding a personal touch to their camp experience. We regularly host charity sew days, where our quilters come together to create these special items. Some quilters focus on piecing, others on ironing, and others on sewing pillowcases. The quilts are made possible through donations from our members and generous contributions of fabric and funds from the community. We also host a bi-annual Country Fair Quilt Show, which helps fund our guild programs and charitable initiatives. If you would like to participate in our efforts or contribute to this cause, please contact Margorie Schrage

Happy Bags

Our Guild members make Happy Bags to support children with cancer at Loma Linda Children's Hospital. We create Happy Bags from fun fabrics and fill them with a variety of items to bring joy to the children. Each bag contains a reading book, notebooks with pens and pencils, folders, and an age-appropriate coloring book with crayons or colored pencils. Additionally, we include a plush toy or movable object, a brain teaser or game, and other small items to bring a smile to the children's faces. Isolette Covers

These specially designed covers are used by staff in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) and Special Care Nurseries (SCN) to manage the light environment around neonates. The covers are placed over an Isolette—a clear plastic enclosed crib that maintains a warm, protective environment for newborns, particularly premature babies who need help regulating their body temperature. See instructions here.  For more information, please contact Anita Ragland.

Fleece Blankets

Our guild proudly makes and donates fleece blankets to Care Portal, a Riverside County non-profit dedicated to supporting children and families in crisis. These cozy blankets provide warmth and comfort to those in need, serving as a tangible expression of our care and compassion. Through this effort, we hope to bring a little bit of comfort and joy to the lives of those going through challenging times. To donate, please contact Gail Bell
