BOM (Block of the Month) 2024
The IEQG Block of the Month (BOM) is a cherished tradition where members showcase a new quilt block pattern chosen by the BOM Chairperson. Each meeting features a different block, offering quilters an opportunity to experiment with various techniques and fabrics. The BOM encourages creativity and skill-building, as members share their unique interpretations and tips for each design. It's not only a chance to learn and grow as a quilter but also a way to foster community and collaboration within the guild. For any questions regarding BOM, please contact Ladonne Evers.
Challenge Quilts
Our guild challenges are an exciting opportunity for members to showcase their creativity and skills. The challenges chairperson selects a theme, and members work within those parameters to create stunning quilted works of art. These challenges inspire innovation and allow us to explore new techniques while sharing our unique interpretations with the guild. It's a wonderful way to push our boundaries and celebrate the diverse talents within our guild. Please contact Louise Moss with any questions.
Fat Quarter Frenzy
The Fat Quarter Frenzy is a delightful activity for anyone who wants to participate. Simply bring a fat quarter that matches the month's theme to the first meeting of the month and you'll receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win the entire collection of submitted fat quarters. Winning the Fat Quarter Frenzy is especially exciting and fun. Contact Eileen Montgomery with any questions.
Monthly Mini
Our Monthly Mini is a delightful event where we raffle off a charming little quilt each month. One of our talented quilters volunteers to create the Monthly Mini, which is then raffled off on the second Monday of the month. The proceeds from this program help fund the door prizes we give away at each meeting. The more tickets we sell, the better our door prize budget will be, leading to more and better prizes. Additionally, the quilter who creates the Monthly Mini gets to practice their techniques and craft a lovely gift for one lucky winner. Tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00 Please contact Carrie Alldis for more information on the Monthly Mini
Sew 'n' Tell
At our monthly Sew-n-Tell, the quilt guild comes alive with creativity and inspiration as members proudly showcase their latest quilted creations. Each month brings a fresh theme, sparking unique interpretations and artistic expressions. Whether it's a vibrant burst of colors, intricate patterns, or a nod to traditional techniques, the quilts on display reflect the talent and dedication of our members. This gathering not only celebrates the art of quilting but also fosters a sense of community as we share our passion, exchange ideas, and applaud each other's work. Contact Julianna Hedges for more information.
Opportunity Basket
Our Opportunity Basket, expertly curated by Brenda Schicker, is a delightful collection of quilting notions, goodies, and charming decor. Each basket is thoughtfully assembled to appeal to quilters of all levels, offering a mix of practical tools and fun surprises. Raffle tickets for the basket are sold to raise funds for our guild, making it a much-anticipated feature at our meetings and a wonderful way to support our community.

Speakers
Our Guild frequently hosts speakers who are experts in various aspects of quilting. These knowledgeable presenters teach us about different techniques, share valuable insights, and inspire us with their expertise. Their presentations cover a wide range of topics, enriching our quilting skills and broadening our creative horizons. It's always a treat to learn from the best in the field and apply their wisdom to our own projects. If you would like to speak at our guild, please contact Gail Bell or Sue Russell
UFO Challenge
Quilters have given a unique twist to the term UFO. In the quilting world, UFOs are not unidentified flying objects but "Unfinished Objects." These are the remnants of quilts that we start but never seem to finish. You’ll find these UFOs tucked away in the bins and baskets of nearly every quilter. Moreover, we're not the only people to accumulate these extra quilt blocks; it’s a tradition that spans generations! For information on our current UFO challenge, please contact Maria Copak.
